Note that the Tour is not a competition but a way of discovering another country, other people and yourself.

The complete route is covered in 8 days for the 10-day tour or 6 days for the 8-day tour, each day being 5 or 6 hours driving on trails. Do you wish a shortening of distances or an extra rest day ?

PAYMENTS

Upon booking, you are required to deposit 30% of the total amount chargeable and the balance thereof 20 days before your arrival by international money transfer.
For air ticket booking, full amount is required to be paid. Payments are made through SWIFT international transfer to the company account :

CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

Any change of date is equivalent to cancellation of the registration. Cancellation made by the participant gives rise to penalties on amounts paid:

From 50 to 30 days: 30% of the total amount.From 29 days to the day before departure: 50% of the total amount.The day of departure: 100% of the total amount.Cancellation made by the organisation because of lack of participants or other reasons gives rise to full refund of amounts paid.

DRIVING LICENCE

A driving licence is compulsory. The participant must have held a full and valid Driving Licence for a minimum of 2 years. A Driving Licence from the country of residence is acceptable. Note that driving in Kenya/Tanzania is on the left side of the road.

HEALTH

The participants need not to be in a special fitness state, but it is advisable to obtain your doctor's advice on possible effects or complications relating to riding in a tropical climate.A personal medical travel insurance from your country is compulsory .

POCKET MONEY

It is advisable to carry a minimum amount of 100 USD for personal expenses: cigarettes, alcohol, souvenirs, gifts, tips etc...

LUGGAGES

It is required to limit luggages to 2 bags or 2 cases to avoid overloading the escort vehicle.


DEPOSIT

A deposit is required from every driver. This shall be refunded if no damage is caused on the vehicle during the period of tour. Loss or damage of parts or any accessories not involving any 3rd party is not included in the insurance cover and in the event of such loss or damage, the driver shall meet the full cost of replacement or repairs. The driver shall also be responsible for checking engine oil level during the period of use of the vehicle. For damages due to accidents with a third party, the driver is liable for payment of the EXCESS premium of each claim payable to the insurance Company .

I fully understand that my participation cannot be valid without the compulsory personal medical & travel insurance cover issued in my country for the period of the tour. I understand that the company shall not be liable in case of delay of passport, vaccinations, visa or insurance formalities.

Although the organisation cares for my safety, I understand that the tour involves risks because of unusual and changing conditions of weather, roads, traffic and other factors.

I further declare that I shall not hold Fredlink Co Ltd responsible for any injuries, loss or otherwise incurred by me as a result of this contract:

For the drivers only :

I , declare that I do not suffer from any physical infirmity which is likely to adversely affect my driving ability.

I understand that I shall pay on the first day of my stay, a refundable deposit of 500 USD for the motorcycle or 900 USD for the car which may be deducted by the company for repairs due to any damage caused on the vehicle I shall use. The deposit should be paid in cash, credit card or traveller's cheque.
