| 9 days - 7 legs of cross-country ride off the beaten track, about 1000 Km of which 90% on dirt road, a discovery of kenyan wilderness,
an encounter with local people. Alternating bush lodges and camping. From Nairobi highlands down to Indian Ocean’s white sandy beaches passing by Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli, Tsavo and Taita reserves.
Although we do not cross national parks, we do pass through animal territories and encounter with wildlife is assured. |

PROGRAMME and ITINIRARY |
| Day 1: NAIROBI WELCOME |

Cottage room at Masai Lodge
|
Welcome at NAIROBI airport and transfer to Masai Lodge at the boundary of Nairobi National Park, dinner and night. |

| Day 2 : NAIROBI – MAPARASHA : 150 Km on earth track + 25 on tarmac (6 hours) |

Encounter with Masai people at Maparasha
|
Breakfast, briefing and leave to follow a track on the edge of the spectacular Great Rift Valley then arrive at Kajiado centre for refilling. Picnic lunch and ride on a narrow track across the savannah between acacias and anthills. The day ends at Maparasha
Hills campsite; pitch-tent, then trek to the top of nearby hills to watch and capture the mesmerizing sunset on Kilimanjaro. Later retire to the campsite for an African dinner around a wood fire together with Masai people who perform their traditional songs and dances.

| Day 3: MAPARASHA – AMBOSELI : 160 Km on sandy and stony trail (5 and half hours) |

On the trail of Mount Kilimanjaro
|
A visit to the local primary school then ride on an animal trail that runs towards Amboseli swamp in the savannah vegetation, against the view of Mount Kilimanjaro (19950 ft), which in clear weather, appears spread on its base in marvellous splendour, astride the southern horizon. Wildlife can be seen through the stretch of the track; giraffe, ostrich, wildebeest, zebras... Arrive at the boundary of Amboseli National Park to pitch tents under beautiful acacia tortilis, in front of Mount Kilimanjaro. Game drive in Amboseli by 4WD, looking for big cats, herds of antelopes, buffalos, elephants... Return at campsite after sunset, dinner and night under tent. |

| Day 4 : AMBOSELI – CHUYLU HILLS : 90 Km on fast gravel road (2 hours) |

Tent at Nyati Camp
|
Early Breakfast and morning game drive in Amboseli by 4WD. Return at campsite for lunch then depart to Chyulu hills. Arrive at Nyati
Camp, built on the south-western base of Chyulu Hills facing Mount Kilimanjaro. Nyati is a superb private Camp, compound of 8 tents thatched with coconut palm leaves. |

| Day 5 : CHYULU HILLS – LAKE JIPE : 140 Km on earth and stony road (4 hours) |

Encounter with Taita Wildlife
|
Driving away along Tsavo park boundary on a red soil trail covered with black volcanic stones, the Kilimanjaro remains behind in a full enjoyable view, continue the ride towards Lake Jipe (a part of Tsavo park) arriving there through a sandy track. Lake Jipe is facing Mounts Pare in Tanzania. Lake Jipe is a wild place untouched by tourism and inhabited by herds of elephants an a rich birdlife. Settle at the Lake bandas (cottages thatched with coconut palm leaves) right on the lakeshore. Boat ride on the lake before sunset in search of hippos. Return at the bandas for dinner then night in a bed.

| Day 6 : LAKE JIPE – TAITA : 160 Km on earth and sand road (5 hours) |

Village banda at Kasigau Rock

Early morning game drive in the park by 4WD, return at the bandas for breakfast and depart to Taita Hills through the main gravel road linking Tsavo to Tanzania. We now leave behind Masai land through which we have been travelling for the past 5 days ! Last refill at Mwatate centre before entering in Taita ranch, home to a large elephant population and vast land of dry shrubbery. Navigate through bushy vegetation and sandy trail to arrive, up through a steep track, at Kasigau Kopje rock for a spectacular view of Taita land. The rock is a remaining of the great rift escarpment formed 20 million years ago, its summit is still covered with a rain forest ! For the night: at the village

| Day 7 : TAITA – CHALANI VILLAGE : 90 Km on earth and sand road + 50 Km on tarmac (4 and half hours) |

Welcome at Chalani village
|
Crossing Taita ranch in the middle of Tsavo wildlife migration corridor to Tanzania also inhabited by shepherds. The trail ushers you into the coastal region. A remarkable change in the landscape, climate and the local community (Giriama people) is gradually evident. Trails of red soil navigate you through coconut trees and other tropical vegetation. Arrive at Chalani Village and visit to the community primary school. Pass the night camping among the local people, near Kaloleni village, who will provide entertainment with traditional beats and dances: a natural impression of real African night under coconut trees and stars. |

| Day 8 : KALOLENI – DIANI BEACH : 90 Km on earth and stone road + 40 Km of tarmac (4 hours) |

Riding on Diani beach
|
Connect to Mombasa south coast through a sandy track, passing round Shimba hills (rain forest and home of the mighty elephant). Enter Diani and proceed to a beautiful white-sand beach for a seafood farewell party with the whole crew. Later, move to your beach

| Day 9 : BEACH and RETURN |

Beach day, lunch at hotel and transfer to Mombasa airport to connect Nairobi for your international return flight. |

PARTICULARITIES
- Drivers need not to have a special level of driving skills to participate, the circuit is open for off road learners.
- The motorbikes are off-road models prepared in our premises (HONDA 250 XR BAJA) and suit to all riders.
- A crew of four persons including one medical, board a support 4WD car equipped with VHF radio and satellite telephone linked in permanence to the organisation “Flying doctors”.
- It is possible to participate as accompanying passenger in 4WD car on the same itinerary. The size of groups vary from 2 to 12 persons with none riders accompanying participants boarding extra car.
- We take our time to guide you and the tour leader is always available to advice you.
- It is possible to have a customized itinerary e.g. lengthen the legs for the most demanding riders … Note that the average speed of moving is 30 Km/h including breaks.
- We ensure our itinerary is practically off the beaten track, so the participants experience authentic discoveries.
- Requirements : national driving licence, visa for Kenya : 50 US $, yellow fever vaccination, prevention against malaria.
